“else” thường xuất hiện ở kỹ năng Listening, Reading, Speaking, Writing Task 2 với đa dạng các chủ đề, nhằm diễn đạt nghĩa “khác, nữa” (ví dụ tỷ lệ xuất hiện trong kỹ năng Writing Task 2 là 2 lần/15602 từ và Listening là 47 lần/148371 từ được sử dụng). Riêng với kỹ năng Writing Task 1 thì từ này hầu như không được sử dụng. Vì vậy, người học nên tìm hiểu và thực hành từ “else” trong câu văn, bài luận để sử dụng trong trong các tình huống đọc, nghe hiểu, nói và viết trong bài thi IELTS.
